You'll become the official organizer of your city's Meetup group. If you don’t see an active chapter on our Global Meetup Groups Map, we will create a group for you, once you join.

Our active chapters can be seen on this map. If your city is not there, we will launch a new chapter with you once you sign up as a leader. Hurry and secure your role, as we only allow one exclusive Leader per city. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us.
Securing your role as an Exclusive City Community Leader entails a monthly payment of $32 paid quarterly.
After filling out the form and completing the payment, we will review your application. If your application is rejected, your money will be refunded immediately in full.

City Leader Responsibilities
The most important requirement from our leaders is a passionate and active approach about helping startups in your city grow and connect. Your first responsibility is to lead the majority of the StartupBlink monthly networking events. Leading events is simple and only requires deciding on a good location, and connecting the participants. Our leaders also attend a monthly Google Hangout call and share knowledge and connect with other community leaders around the world.
The program is intentionally small (1 exclusive leader per city) in order to allow you to keep a close and valuable relationship with our core team and other community leaders around the world.

At StartupBlink, we have a dedicated team, who's job is to ensure you don't get caught up in the operations. We set up the Meetup events every month, we send out regular reminders to group members and make sure the event gets those RSVP's. And if you can't host an event, we'll even help with locating a volunteer. All of this is to make sure you focus on what's important - your startup community! You will also receive access to our Knowledge Base containing all you need to know to lead - from event formats to getting the word out, we've got you covered!

Why is this a paid program?
The Leaders Program requires a fee for two main reasons:
1) The payment covers 30% of the total administrative costs. This includes maintenance of the meetup groups and our team's time to make the program as beneficial as possible, as we constantly upgrade it. StartupBlink is a bootstrapped project and we can only subsidize a part of the direct costs attributed to the Leaders Program.
2) The program started as an unpaid effort, and once changed to a paid version, the leaders greatly increased their level of engagement. Just like in startups, we have discovered that best filter for active high quality members is the will to have "skin in the game".
Our paid leaders get all of our attention - monthly calls, help managing the meetup groups, quick reply to emails and Facebook posts. Because we know they are committed, we can commit more time to them, and keep on upgrading the program.
